Have you caught yourself saying one of the following?

"I’ll never feel any better."

“I’ve tried everything—nothing works."

"What if this program doesn’t work for me?”

"This is just who I am now."

“I feel so hopeless.”

“I know these benzos aren’t good for me, but I will never be able to tolerate getting off of them.”

If so, you’re not alone. These phrases are common barriers that prevent people from seeking the help they truly need. When it comes to your mental health, the stakes are high, and it's easy to talk yourself out of making the commitment to change. The truth is, these excuses often keep us in our comfort zone, preventing us from embracing the challenging yet rewarding journey ahead.

I hear these concerns frequently from those contemplating whether to attend our Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program. Understandably, taking that first step toward recovery can feel daunting, but what if we told you that relief could be just 10 days away? What if, instead of wondering "What if it doesn't work?" you asked, "What if it does work—and changes everything?"

In this article, we’re going to show you the real results of our September 2024 Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program (NDARP). The results speak for themselves, proving that overcoming depression and anxiety in a short period of time is not just possible—it’s happening, right now, for those who take action.

What Is the 10-Day Program?

The Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program (NDARP) is an immersive 10-day residential program that addresses the root causes of depression and anxiety through a holistic, research-backed approach. We combine medical, psychological, and lifestyle interventions to treat the mind, body, and spirit as a cohesive whole.

How does the program work?

From day one, participants receive individualized care, including a comprehensive lab workup that analyzes brain biochemistry, inflammation, neurotransmitter cofactors, and other critical components. This comprehensive approach ensures that each participant's treatment is tailored to their specific needs. Participants interact with a range of professionals, including physicians, therapists, and fitness coaches.

During the program, participants are provided with personalized recommendations for physical exercise, light therapy, and nutrition. Lab results guide personalized plans for rebalancing brain chemistry, often through nutrients or natural supplements. Through guided small group sessions, personalized counseling, and physical activities, participants are able to reframe and even end their relationship with depression and anxiety.

By the end of the 10 days, participants not only feel better but are equipped with tools to maintain these improvements long-term.

Now, you might still be wondering, Will it work for me? Let’s dive into the data to show you just how powerful this program really is.

The Impact of the Residential Program:

In September 2024, 20 participants completed our 10-day program. The results they achieved in just 10 days are an example of what happens frequently in our programs:

DSM-V Depression Assessment:

Participants began the program with an average depression score of 16.9, classified as moderate depression. After just 10 days, that number dropped to 1.8, indicating no depression.  100 percent of depressed persons had a clinical response and 89% of depressed persons were no longer depressed at all on this inventory.

Beck Depression Inventory:

Similarly, the Beck Depression Inventory scores decreased from 29.9 (severe depression) to just 4.3, showing that participants had effectively eliminated depressive thoughts and symptoms.

GAD-7 Anxiety Scores:

For those dealing with anxiety, the GAD-7 scores dropped from 14 (severe anxiety) to 3.2, indicating no clinical anxiety after the program.   Two of the participants were also on chronic benzodiazepines for years, and thought they would never get off them.  One of them was on the highest doses allowed for human beings.  Not only are they off their benzos but their anxiety and depression scores improved dramatically in the process.

DSM-V Anxiety Assessment:

On the DSM-V Anxiety Assessment, participants' scores decreased from 10.3 (moderate anxiety) to 1.5, further proving the program's effectiveness in eliminating anxiety. 100 percent of anxiety patients left with no anxiety on this assessment.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Scores:

Beyond reducing symptoms, participants saw significant growth in emotional intelligence. EQ scores rose from 101 (average compared to the general population) to 129 (top 15 percentile of the nation) marking an improvement in emotional awareness, regulation, and resilience. 100 percent of participants improved their emotional intelligence, one of the best indicators of future happiness, motivation, relationship satisfaction, and success.

Celebrating Transformations Every Step of the Way

I along with my wonderful staff have seen these incredible results firsthand, and I am constantly reminded why each of us are so passionate about this program. Our team works tirelessly to provide the best care possible, and I am thrilled to continue helping people find hope and healing through this program. The transformations I witness—people who come in with moderate to severe depression and anxiety and leave with a renewed sense of purpose, peace, and joy—are nothing short of extraordinary.

That said, I want to be clear: there is no magic solution that guarantees these results. The success stories we share come from participants who are willing to put in the hard work and embrace the changes necessary for recovery. Our team will be with you every step of the way, but it’s your commitment that makes the difference. This is why we celebrate each and every participant who completes the program.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I encourage you to join us. You deserve this opportunity, and I am confident that our program can help you find the mental health and happiness you’ve been searching for.
